Dear Fans & Friends:
It started at the hotel.
Vernice, Marilyn and myself all got in my car with my
custom license plates that say "RIEU FAN" and we went to
look for the buses. We are after all, silly fans. Taking photos of a bus is
a big deal to us! In addition, of course we wanted to
see some of our Friends, those in the JSO we have met
before.
I did the usual, I got lost,
went the wrong way, ended up 5 miles off course. As I
got back on course and started looking around, what to
my wandering eyes did appear? I turned around and
started heading up one of the local "Number" streets.
And what do I see behind me???

I excitedly said to Marilyn and
Vernice to turn around!! Then I waive to the driver who
waived back. (Oh how I wonder what they thought of my
license plates!)
I was escorting the buses to
the hotel. At least that is the story I am staying with.
I let Marilyn & Vernice out of the car, and they started
talking with Ruth Morgan. The next
thing I know, we are all at the hotel, visiting with the
JSO.

All good things must end, this
time for a sound check. The JSO and buses left.

Dinner found Myself, Vernice,
Marilyn, Ruth, and others joined by Steve &
Jan Schmedinghoff and their mother Ruth. We met other
fans on their way to the concert, said hello and drove
the short distance to the Arco Arena.

Inside the Arco, I saw Dorli &
Gene Senn. (Two super nice people!) They were sitting
with Michelle & Peter. Hugs & Hellos all around. Andre
Rieu Fans are the very nicest of people. I met Fans from
Lodi & Stockton, and hope to hear from them via email.
Back to my seat and the lights
dim. We stand up, turn around and hear the Music. It is
true; Andre Rieu & his JSO are marching up the aisle!
How could anyone not LOVE this
Orchestra? For the next 2.5 hours, Andre gave us his
all. Each song chosen just for us. Every bow, every
smile, every note, just for us. (I am not going to list
the songs, so everyone can be surprised) The Holy City
was played with LOVE. Andre's heartfelt words of if all
the world made music, there would be no war.
Let me tell you all one thing:
There is no such thing as a bad Andre Rieu concert.
Each & Every Andre Rieu Concert is worth attending.
Each concert brings it's own feeling and crowd. I pray
each of you will be able to attend a live concert.
Until then ... ...
Sit back and relax. Come with
me to the concert……………….
