The Homecoming Tour

April 2007

The Spring tour here in the East is called
The Homecoming Tour

I saw Andre and his Johann Strauss Orchestra twice this weekend. Once in Philadelphia and once in Atlantic City. You go to enough concerts and you never know how the audience is going to be. The audience in Philadelphia took until intermission to get warmed up and the audience in Atlantic City was into the concert the moment they heard the intro music. Two totally different audiences. Also Atlantic City is a much bigger hall. I would say there were around 9,000 people and the weather just awful.

The first time we saw Mirusia was right before intermission when she came out with Gary in Amigos para Siempre (friends for life). She then had two solo numbers; Concerto pour une voix (the angel photo you see on Andre's website) and wishing you were somehow here again (Andrew L. Webber). She has a show stopping voice. She received standing ovations from Philadelphia and Atlantic City. The last time we saw her was during the encores. (we had 6 at both concerts - by that time both crowds were really into it, especially A.C.)

There is a new Soprano from Chile and for the life of me I have forgotten her name. (Lara?) Suzan is back for the spring tour and her solo is in the Sisi character for ''I belong to me.''
