Auf den Spuren von Andre Rieu!
Im März 2002 fuhr ich mit meinem Mann für ein paar Tage nach Maastricht. Eine wirklich sehenswerte Stadt mit vielen alten Gebäuten, Kirchen und romantischen kleinen Gassen. Auch die Menschen dort sind sehr gastfreundlich. Die herrlich vielen Straßenkaffee´s sind einfach einladend, dort kann man z.B. die Maastrichter Spezialität "Limburgse Vlaai" (Kuchen) und guten Kaffee genießen, sehr lecker!!!
Und überhaupt gibt es viel zu entdecken, also auf nach Maastricht an der Maas, in die Heimat von Andre.

In March 2002 I drove with my man for a few days to Maastricht. A city really worth seeing with many old Gebaeuten, churches and romantic small lanes. The people are very hospitable there. Many wonderful Strassenkaffee's are simply inviting those, there one can one sample the Maastrichter specialty "Limburgse Vlaai" (cakes) and are certain to enjoy good coffee!!! This gives us all the more reason to discover Maastricht to the Maas, into the homeland of Andre.

An dieser Mauer stand Andre und lauschte den Schülern vom Conservatorium im Hintergrund zu, dass er selbst früher besuchte. Ich konnte ebenfalls so manche Instrumnte hören.
Andre stood at this wall in former times and listened to the pupils of the Conservatory in the background. I too could hear some instruments being played.
