Zoals
beloofd meer informatie over het
diner op vrijdag 8 juli en de
picknick op 9 juli 2005
Alle
toegangswegen tot het Vrijthof
zullen gedurende het hele weekend
afgesloten zijn. Na 18.00 uur kom je
er alleen op als je tickets hebt
voor het concert of voor een
restaurantplaats. Die
restauranttickets worden aan mij
opgestuurd. Ik moet ze dus aan
jullie doorgeven. Op vrijdag zal
ik tussen 17.00 en 18.00 uur staan
in de Platielstraat op de hoek bij
het Vrijthof (zie voor bijgesloten
plattegrond: "Vrijthof"), waar ik de
tickets aan jullie zal overhandigen.
Je
kunt de A.R.fans herkennen aan de A.
R. shawls en de naambordjes.
Eventueel een rode bloem, want ik
heb begrepen dat dit het Amerikaanse
herkenningsteken is. Grand cafe
"D'n Ingel" is direct om de hoek op
het Vrijthof. Wij worden daar vanaf
18.00 uur verwacht in de Michaels
zaal op de 2e etage. Zie: "DnIngel"
voor een foto van het restaurant en
"View" voor een blik uit het raam. (Het
uitzicht zal enigszins belemmerd
worden door bomen).
Het
4-gangen diner wordt vanaf 18.30 uur
geserveerd en bestaat uit (ik citeer
de brochure):
-
Tongstrelende voorgerechten
- Een
tussengerecht van Italiaanse
gevogeltebouillon met zongedroogde
tomaatjes
-
Keuze uit het hoofdgerecht: 1: een
gepocheerde zalmfilet of 2: een duo
van kalfsmedaillons en ossehaas
- Een
walsend grand-dessert.
Bij
de maaltijd wordt rode of witte
Doornbosch wijn geschonken.
Om
21.00 uur kunnen de mensen met
concert tickets naar het plein gaan.
Het concert begint om 21.30 uur.
De overige mensen blijven in de
zaal, die 3 openslaande ramen heeft
met uitzicht op (bomen en) het
Vrijthof.
Gedurende het concert is het niet
toegestaan het restaurant te
verlaten, op de terrassen mag niet
meer bediend worden, wegens storende
bijgeluiden. (Dit geldt natuurlijk
niet voor ons, in het zaaltje!)
Op
zaterdag 9 juli is er om 12.00 uur
een picknick in het stadspark, op
het grasveld voor het bastion
genaamd "de vijf koppen", bij de
grote fontein.
Deze
lokatie is makkelijk te vinden, zie
de foto "Bastion" en de plattegrond
"Maastricht".
Het is
de bedoeling dat je zelf eten,
drinken en iets om op te zitten,
meebrengt.
Het is
misschien een goed idee als iedereen
een naambordje draagt, met hierop je
naam en uit welk land je komt
(afgekort met 2 letters).
Ik heb
niets gehoord over extra
parkeermogelijkheden. Reken erop dat
het moeilijk of onmogelijk parkeren
is in de stad. Parkeergarages zijn
duur. Neem de bus, een taxi of
wandel.

Dear
Andre Rieu Fans!
As
promised, please find below more
information regarding the Andre Rieu
Fans dinner of Friday July 8th and
the picnic on Saturday July 9th.
During
the weekend access to the Vrijthof
square will be closed. After 6.00 PM
entrance is only allowed with
concert- or restaurant tickets.
The
restaurant tickets will be sent to
me, so I have to hand them over to
you. On Friday between 5.00 PM and
6.00 PM we will be standing in the
Platielstraat at the corner of the
Vrijthof square, where you can pick
up your ticket. A.R. Fans can be
recognized by A.R. scarfs, name
badges or red flowers (as I
understood that was the American
A.R. recognition sign). Grand
Cafe "D'n Ingel" (means: the
Angel) is just around the corner on
the Vrijthof square (see picture
"Vrijthof"). We will be expected as
of 6.00 PM in the 'Michaels'
function room on the 2nd floor. Have
a look at "DnIngel" for a picture of
the restaurant and "View" for a peek
out of the window (through a few
leafs).
As of
6.30 PM a 4 course dinner will be
served (I quote the brochure):

Heavenly starters
-
An intermediate course of Italian
poultry broth with sun-dried
tomatoes
-
Choice of : 1. poached salmon or 2.
duet of veal and fillet of beef
- A
waltzing grand-dessert
Included: red or white Doornbosch
wine.
At
9.00 PM the persons who have tickets
for the concert can go to the
square. The concert will start at
9.30 PM.
The remaining participants will stay
in the restaurant, the room has 3
open windows with a nice view on the
square (and some tree-leaves).
During
the concert we are not allowed to
leave the restaurant. No more drinks
will be served on the terraces
outside, because of disturbing
noises. (They will continue to serve
drinks in our room!).
On
Saturday July 9th at 12.00 AM there
will be a Fans Picnic in the
"Stadspark'" (City Park) on the
grass field in front of the medieval
round bastion called "The five
heads" (De vijf koppen). This spot
is easy to find. Between the field
and the round bastion there is a
lake with a big fountain (see
picture "Bastion"). Also refer to
the map "Maastricht" for the correct
location. It will be a self-catering
event, so bring your own food,
drinks and something to sit on.
It
will be a nice suggestion if you can
make -and wear- a badge with your
name and country of origin (2 or 3
letters).
I
heard nothing about extra parking
facilities. Carparks are expensive.
So consider the impossibility of
parking in the city center, take the
busses, taxis or walk.

Jaaaaaaaaaaaaa ... daar is

in Mestreech maar mee

Hier ist dann endlich das
Spanntuch denen ich gemacht
habe für das Konzert am
Samstag den 9. Juli. Ich
will dass mal übersetzen:
Der
A(n)drénalin nehmt zu !!?
XXXjes = (Schmuschen und
Küschen) von "Die Engel".
Wir sind selbstverständlich
"Die Engel", weil wir am
Freitagabend zusammen in
Grand Café "d'n Ingel" (der
Engel) gegessen haben. Da
ist ja auch noch ein Bild
von der Hoogzaad-family dabei
für denen die uns noch nicht
in voller Zahl kennen.
Selbstverständlich werden
wir mit dem Spanntuch
schwingen und hoffentlich
sieht André uns !!!!
Also bis bald in Maastricht,
auf Wienerschnitzel !!!!!
