A most memorable evening indeed! My good friend, Vernice and I drove to Sacramento from Portland for this wonderful concert. On Friday, we met Sally, Ruth, Joanne, John and Bobbie at our hotel. We all went to dinner on the way to the concert. We were driving by the hotel where Andre and the JSO stayed and all of a sudden Sally noticed we were being followed!! I turned around and sure enough it was Andre's bus. We got parked to join our group and about that time the JSO was getting ready to leave for the Arco Arena. We were so excited and got to shake hands and chat a bit with several of the delightful people who would soon be on stage giving another outstanding performance. At the concert, the stage was just beautiful with the flocked trees and all the decorations for the Christmas show. The entire concert was so full of energy and Andre was so witty and quick! At one point when he began to play some Christmas music it started to snow right there in the Arco. Some folks really got covered. Lots of people got up to waltz including John and Bobbie De Jong. Another highlight was the Conga line led by Ruth Morgan, followed my myself, Vernice and a long line of smiling fans! Pierre was taking pictures as went past him along the front of the stage. As the concert came to a close I just happened to be standing down below the stage and one of the men came over and handed me the beautiful flowers that had just a bit earlier been given to Andre. I brought them home with me and will probably keep them forever. I met some of the nicest people and we had the best time! I would like to thank Sally for being our escort, she is one of a kind.
